Hi there, thanks so much for checking out our blog. I thought the best place to start would be with one of the MAIN reasons I got started with essential oils, to save money! Yes that’s right, I can honestly hand on my heart tell you I save money using my essential oils and lots of it too.
Now I’ve split this into two parts because let’s be honest, there’s a lot of info to cover and I’m just so passionate about it! So here we go with part one, enjoy!
So just how exactly are they going to save you money? Let’s take a closer look!
DIY First Aid - I love to use essential oils as a first point of call for first aid, and with two kids aged 7 and 6 they’ve saved us a lot of $$$. I make my own ouchie spray with lavender, frankinsence and tea tree to help cleanse and purify the skin from scrapes and cuts etc. We also use lavender in the event or an ant or bug bite to calm the skin. There are so many ways we use our oils for DIY first aid but it certainly means we aren’t spending unnecessary money on a cream for this and a spray for that, we just make what we need with our essential oils.
DIY Cleaning - I have been making my own cleaning products for a couple of years now and have been mighty impressed with the results! Some of my favourite oils for cleaning are citrus oils like Lemon and Wild Orange, but so many oils are really fantastic for cleaning, you’d probably be surprised you can use lavender and peppermint for cleaning too! I make up sprays like a multi purpose spray, glass cleaner, stove top cleaner, bathroom cleaner, and at most cost only about 50 cents - $1 for approx. 500ml. Now I know what you’re thinking – I couldn’t do that, but trust me it’s easy, and if you choose to get started with some doTERRA oils with me I’ll be guiding and supporting you every step of the way! MUCH cheaper than purchasing organic natural cleaners from the shop and easy to replace when the kids ‘accidentally’ go through a whole bottle, or does that just happen to me?
So that’s it for part one, what do you think? Can you see yourself saving money with essential oils yet? Check back again soon for part two!
